Samoan music is a tapestry woven from centuries of oral tradition, Christian hymnody, and modern Pacific influences. At its heart is the Siva — a traditional dance accompanied by rhythmic singing that tells stories of love, war, and daily life.
Siva Samoa, the traditional dance form, remains one of the most cherished cultural expressions. The graceful movements of the dancer, combined with the harmonies of the choir, create an experience that is both visually and aurally stunning.
Modern Samoan music has evolved to include Island Classics — a genre that blends traditional Pacific sounds with contemporary production. Artists like those featured on our Music Discovery section represent the cutting edge of this evolution.
At Air Media Samoa, we're committed to showcasing the full spectrum of Samoan music — from the oldest traditional chants to the latest releases from emerging artists. Our tracklist is a curated journey through this rich musical landscape.
